These are the rules for using Gatekept. We wrote them to be clear, not confusing. By using the platform, you agree to everything on this page. If something doesn't sit right, reach out before you sign up.
By visiting, signing up for, or using Gatekept in any way, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the platform. It's that simple.
We might update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the “Last updated” date at the top. If the changes are big, we'll let you know. Continuing to use Gatekept after an update means you accept the new terms.
You need to be at least 16 years old to use Gatekept. If you're under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and approved your use of the platform.
You also confirm that you're not banned from using the platform and that your account won't be used for anything illegal.
Your account is yours. You're responsible for everything that happens under it. That means:
One person, one account. We reserve the right to merge or remove duplicate accounts.
Your stuff stays yours. When you upload or sell something on Gatekept, you keep full ownership of your work. We don't claim any rights to your content.
By posting on Gatekept, you give us permission to display, distribute, and promote your content on the platform. That's it. We need this so your page actually works and so we can feature your work in places like search results and recommendations.
You promise that everything you upload is either made by you or you have the right to sell it. If you use someone else's work without permission, that's on you.
Gatekept branding, design, and code are ours. Don't copy, scrape, or reproduce any part of the platform without written permission.
Here's how money works on Gatekept:
All purchases are final unless the creator offers refunds. We don't process refunds directly — that's between the buyer and the creator.
If a purchase goes wrong (you didn't get what was promised, the file is broken, etc.), reach out to us and we'll help figure it out.
Don't use Gatekept to:
If we catch you doing any of this, we'll remove the content and may ban your account. No warnings required.
You can delete your account at any time from your settings. When you do, your page and public content will be removed. Buyers who already purchased your products will keep access to their downloads.
We can also suspend or terminate your account if you break these terms, abuse the platform, or harm the community. If we do, we'll tell you why — unless it's a legal or safety issue that requires immediate action.
Gatekept is provided “as is.” We do our best to keep things running smoothly, but we can't guarantee the platform will be available 100% of the time or that it'll be completely bug-free.
We don't review every piece of content uploaded by creators. If you buy something and it's not what you expected, that's a matter between you and the creator. We'll step in when needed, but we're a platform, not a guarantor.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Gatekept is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages that come from using (or not being able to use) the platform. This includes lost profits, lost data, or anything else along those lines.
If something does go wrong and we are found liable, the most we'd owe you is the amount you paid to Gatekept in the 12 months before the issue. Not the creator — Gatekept specifically (meaning platform fees only).
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be handled through binding arbitration, not court, unless the law says otherwise.
If any part of these terms gets thrown out by a court, the rest still stands.
